Thomas Wilson – Director of Drone Operations & Creative Specialist

Thomas Wilson first picked up a camera back in 2006. He quickly fell in love telling stories with video and pictures. That has led to more than 10 years of video production experience.

In 2014, Thomas bought and flew his first drone. He is always pushing to be more creative and this outlet changed from hobby to a career. In 2016, Thomas became an FAA-certified pilot when the licensing program came out. Shortly after, he started his own aerial production company working with many national clients.

Thomas is a Georgia boy through and through. He grew up in Augusta, Georgia and is a University of Georgia alum, graduating with a degree in Broadcast News. He has spent the last 7 years working in local television in Georgia, Arkansas, and North Carolina. At WCNC-TV in Charlotte, he was a Photojournalist and Chief Drone Pilot. He maintained, operated, and managed the drone equipment for the station as the industry grew around him. Thomas and his wife, Jenna, met and got married here in Charlotte and they are thrilled to call it home. When Thomas isn’t flying drones for work or fun, you can find them at a cool new local restaurant/brewery or traveling and experiencing the world!
